1. Who we are
REIGN Fishing (“REIGN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independently owned business operated by Kory Bard in Texas. Our website is reignfishing.com. REIGN is not a nonprofit organization or a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charity.
Our mission is to connect youth, families, and communities through fishing, outdoor education, and stewardship. That mission guides our work and the opportunities we create.
This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with our website, online shop, inquiries, email subscriptions, event registrations, and related programs. All online forms, accounts, purchases, event registrations, and email subscriptions are restricted to adults age 18 or older. Minors are not permitted to complete these activities, including with parental permission. Youth registrations must be completed by a parent, legal guardian, or adult with authority to register the participant.
2. Information we collect
- Contact information: your name, email address, phone number, and information you provide when contacting us or discussing sponsorships, partnerships, or volunteer opportunities.
- Order information: billing and shipping details, products and options ordered, order totals, transaction references, delivery information, and communications about your purchase.
- Event and program information: information requested on the applicable registration form, such as the registering adult’s contact details, participant names and ages, attendance details, and acknowledgments. If you voluntarily provide accommodation or safety information, we use it to address the request and help administer the activity. Please provide only information reasonably needed for that purpose.
- Email subscriptions: your email address, subscription preferences, signup and unsubscribe records, and technical information associated with those actions. Our email service records delivery information and, when tracking is enabled, email opens and link clicks.
- Website and device information: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, interactions, referring websites or campaigns, approximate location, timestamps, and cookie or similar identifiers. Our website, hosting, security, analytics, and payment services collect technical information automatically as part of their functions.
- Content you provide: messages, reviews or comments where available, and photos or other material you choose to submit. Reviews, comments, and other content submitted for public posting are visible to others once published.
3. How we use information
We use information to process and fulfill orders; arrange shipping; handle payments, refunds, and customer service; manage registrations and attendance; communicate event details or changes; respond to inquiries; coordinate volunteers and partners; send email updates to subscribers; understand website and shop activity; improve our offerings; detect fraud and abuse; and maintain business, tax, safety, and legal records.
Promotional email requires a separate signup or opt-in. Placing an order or registering for an event does not itself subscribe you to promotional email. We send service messages needed to handle your order, registration, or inquiry, including confirmations, shipping updates, and event changes.
4. Services and parties that receive information
We disclose information needed to operate REIGN and provide the services you request, including to:
- Website and shop services: our hosting and email providers, WordPress/WooCommerce, Automattic/Jetpack, and providers that support website operation, security, statistics, and maintenance. Access is limited to authorized administrators and personnel who need the information for their work.
- Payment providers: WooPayments and its processing partner Stripe receive payment, billing, transaction, device, and fraud-prevention information. If you select a supported wallet or financing option, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Affirm, that provider also processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. Available methods can vary. We receive payment status and limited transaction details; full card numbers and card security codes are handled by the payment services rather than stored in our WordPress shop.
- Production and shipping providers: Printify, the print providers that produce orders, and shipping carriers receive the order details, recipient name, delivery address, and contact information needed to manufacture, ship, track, or resolve an issue with your order. Printify’s fulfillment role is separate from payment processing.
- Analytics providers: Google Analytics and Automattic/Jetpack help measure website and shopping activity. WooCommerce also records information about traffic sources and campaigns associated with orders.
- Email subscription services: Brevo processes signup details, subscription preferences, and email-related activity to manage and deliver our updates.
- Event personnel and partners: authorized organizers, volunteers, venue personnel, and program partners receive information reasonably needed to coordinate an activity, verify registration, address safety needs, or meet applicable program requirements. This does not authorize partners to add participants to their own marketing lists.
- Other necessary recipients: professional advisers, authorities, insurers, or others when reasonably necessary to meet legal obligations, address claims, protect safety and rights, or respond to a lawful request. A business transfer includes only records relevant to the transferred operations and remains subject to applicable privacy obligations.
We do not sell or rent our customer, participant, or subscriber contact lists. Payment providers and other services also process information under their own legal obligations and privacy policies.
Provider information: Automattic, Stripe, Printify, Brevo, and Google.
5. Cookies, analytics, and social-media promotions
Facebook and Instagram promotions
REIGN uses boosted posts on Facebook and Instagram to promote its activities and direct people to its website. Meta operates those platforms and processes interactions with posts and promotions under its own privacy policy. Meta provides campaign reports such as reach, engagement, and link clicks. See Meta’s Privacy Policy for its information practices and privacy controls.
After you follow a link to REIGN’s website, the website analytics and order-attribution tools described below process the visit. Referral information, campaign identifiers, and link parameters help identify the source of website traffic and orders. A click on a promotion does not itself register you for an event, place an order, or subscribe you to REIGN emails. Those actions require a separate submission by an adult age 18 or older.
Website cookies and analytics
Cookies and similar technologies support shopping carts, sessions, login functions where available, payment security, and website preferences. Analytics and attribution technologies help us understand visits, pages and products viewed, interactions, and the sources of orders. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar identifiers and collects device and usage information. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect shopping, payment, or other features. Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. These controls apply to the browser or device where you use them and may not stop all collection by other services. Contact us about any additional privacy choices available under applicable law.
6. Children and family registrations
Our online forms, accounts, checkout, event registration, and email subscriptions are for adults age 18 or older only. Anyone under 18 is prohibited from submitting forms, creating accounts, making purchases, registering for events, or subscribing to emails themselves. This rule applies even with parental permission. A parent, legal guardian, or adult age 18 or older with authority from the parent, legal guardian, or another lawful source must complete youth registrations and provide the required participant information on the minor’s behalf.
We use child participant information supplied by adults to administer the relevant activities, communicate with the registering adult, address safety needs, and maintain related records. We do not use child registration information to build children’s marketing profiles. A parent or legal guardian can request review, correction, or deletion of their child’s information by emailing us. We verify the requester’s identity and authority before releasing or changing records. We retain records needed for legal obligations, safety, insurance, or claims.
If we identify a form submission, account, order, event registration, or email subscription completed by a minor, we will disable the related account and remove the minor from promotional email lists. We will require an adult to handle further communication and resolve any pending order or registration. We will delete information submitted by the minor after resolving the matter, retaining only records needed for legal obligations or a specific dispute. Contact us to report a minor’s use of these features. An unauthorized submission does not constitute an accepted youth registration.
7. Photos, video, and public content
REIGN photographs and records events and publishes event recaps, photos, and videos on its website and social channels in accordance with applicable permissions and event releases. This privacy policy does not itself grant permission to use your likeness or your child’s likeness. Any applicable photo or media permission is addressed separately.
Contact us with a concern about an image or identification of you or your child. We will review the request, although we cannot control copies or reposts made by others.
8. Retention and security
Retention depends on the type of record and its purpose. Our shop does not automatically delete order records or associated personal information after a fixed period. We retain transaction records for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal obligations. We retain event records, permissions, and correspondence for program administration, safety, insurance, and legal needs. We keep subscription records while you subscribe and limited suppression records afterward to honor your unsubscribe request. Our service providers maintain their own retention schedules, including for backups.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to our operations. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send full payment card details, Social Security numbers, or unnecessary sensitive information through ordinary contact forms or email.
9. Your choices and requests
You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us. You may also ask to access, correct, obtain a copy of, or delete personal information, or exercise other rights available under applicable law, by emailing connect@reignfishing.com. Tell us the request and enough information to locate the relevant record. We verify identity or authority when needed to protect the information involved.
Your location and applicable privacy law determine the rights available to you. Deletion does not include records we must retain for legal obligations or claims, or limited consent and suppression records needed to honor your choices. If we decline a request, you may ask us to review the decision at the same address, using the subject “Privacy request appeal.” We will respond as required by applicable law.
10. Other websites and processing locations
Links to social networks and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Our contact page embeds Google Maps. Loading a map or other embedded content allows its provider to receive technical information, including your IP address, and use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate; protections may differ from those in your location.
11. Changes and contact
We update this policy when our practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. We provide additional notice and obtain consent for material changes when the law requires it.
